The Influence of Physical Treatments on Seed Germination and Seedling Development of Spruce (Picea abies [L.] Karst.)

نویسندگان

چکیده

The aim of this research was to investigate the influence an electric field and gamma radiation upon germination spruce seeds. In order carry out research, seeds from different provenances have been subjected treatments: (EF) with 10 V, 30 50 V voltages intensity E = 266V/m, exposure time 15 35 min, (G) several treatments (1 Gy-31 1.5 Gy-46 2 Gy-62 6 Gy-186 min). Under EF, best results seed (80.83%) were recorded when treated for all investigated. Regarding radiation, highest percentage (87.50%) achieved in T5G Gy 186 min. It also considered interaction between origin EF G applied induce further seedlings’ development. obtained after exposed came on top compared treatments, both height.

Conserved Function of Core Clock Proteins in the Gymnosperm Norway Spruce (Picea abies L. Karst)

From studies of the circadian clock in the plant model species Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana), a number of important properties and components have emerged. These include the genes CIRCADIAN CLOCK ASSOCIATED 1 (CCA1), GIGANTEA (GI), ZEITLUPE (ZTL) and TIMING OF CAB EXPRESSION 1 (TOC1 also known as PSEUDO-RESPONSE REGULATOR 1 (PRR1)) that via gene expression feedback loops participate in the...

Are Early Somatic Embryos of the Norway Spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) Organised?

BACKGROUND Somatic embryogenesis in conifer species has great potential for the forestry industry. Hence, a number of methods have been developed for their efficient and rapid propagation through somatic embryogenesis. Although information is available regarding the previous process-mediated generation of embryogenic cells to form somatic embryos, there is a dearth of information in the literat...

Retrieval of chlorophyll and nitrogen in Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.) using imaging spectroscopy

The research evaluated the information content of spectral reflectance (laboratory and airborne data) for the estimation of needle chlorophyll (CAB) and nitrogen (CN) concentration in Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.) needles. To identify reliable predictive models different types of spectral transformations were systematically compared regarding the accuracy of prediction. The results of t...
